I was running UI7 on my VeraLite and was prompted to upgrade the firmware to the latest. I was running 1.7.541 with a static IP. The device shows a solid blue light, then the green network light flashes slowly. I’m able to ping the IP, and am prompted for the root password, but it hangs. The web service is not running, and logging in via home.getvera.com says that it can’t connect to the device. Any ideas?
Have you pulled power and rebooted?
Yes several times. I also have tried pressing and holding the reset button (for up to 30 seconds) with the device both on and off. The only time I was able to get anything to happen was if I pressed the reset button with the device unplugged, then plugged in the device while I still had the paper clip holding down the reset button. I kept holding reset and the orange light blinked quickly for several minutes without any change. So I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it went back to solid blue light with blinking green light.
I would pick up the phone and DIAL support for some help then. Emailing or voice mail will be a longer wait.
Left it plugged in and just forgot about it since my last post. Unplugged it and somehow it works now. Too gun shy to try the firmware upgrade again.
