@ElMagnifico - sorry you’re having problems. This has affected a couple of users now, and I believe it to be related to a networking problem downloading the device details (for which I can’t quite determine the reason, as this is part of a framework that hasn’t changed in VeraMate, apart from recompiling for iOS 7.1). I do however have a workaround in the next version, 5.5.
So it’s not ideal, but if you could wait until around very early next week, the upgrade should be released onto the app store. In the interim I could suggest connecting using the “guest login” using a local controller from the login page, however, the problem still seems to affect some users even on a guest/local connection.
Well I went ahead and tried to load it on my Ipad 2 to make sure it wasn’t an issue with my iPhone 5, and it stays stuck loading, and doesn’t show any of my controls. It does find my username info, etc, but just spins saying loading.
As far as being patient, sure. I like the look and feel of the app and I’m sure it will be great once you cook out the bugs.
Tried Guest mode and does work great. One observation. I did not know anyone who knew my IP could simply access my controls without Vera prompting for a password. That’s a little disturbing.
I also have another observation. Every time I would go to log out, I get the error message “Invalid username or password. Please try again.” I’m getting this even though I am not logging in, but just logging out
I logged back in using my username/password and now switches are working again, but still cannot control stats. So I tried again to log out again, and is now telling me Invalid username/Password, using my correct credentials . Guess it didn’t like the numerous logging in and out.
I’ve tried off and on for the last couple hours and I can not sign back in on this app, other than using guest mode I can, but still does not control the thermostats anymore.
Update**Appears the Vera log in works on 3g/4g, Only thing is that I cant set temp unless I change Heat/Cool mode. This also appears to be the case also when using the guest login. I was able today to log back into the guest network and my Ipad did eventually load, just took a while. The temp setting part may be user issues. Can you clarify if that was the way it is designed. I thought you should be able to dial a temp and hit done and it would change to reflect, is that not the case?
