I seem to have an awful lot of unaccounted load in my house. I know that I have a few thing running around the clock with a constant power consumption. Like radiation circulation pump, ventilation, routers, tv-signal-amplifier etc.
It would be really nice if one could add static load into different categories/units. Guess I could create “dummy”-devices with a the right devicetype and a constant Watt… but they would consume a lot of Vera memory for no reason.
I have the same problem - an unaccounted quiescent load of about 300W. But I must say that my approach is different… I’m on the hunt for where those missing Watts are going. Despite having an embarrassingly large number of devices plugged in (not things on standby, but items like DECT phone bases, WiFi, central heating controller, not to mention 3 Veras!) 300W seems high to me.
One way that you could probably do this now is to add a device (virtual switch?) and put your static power against it (ie fill in the manual power config). You could then enable/disable it as you like.
I do however take your point that a configuration setting in dataMine might be useful and I’ll take a look at that. Unfortunately I’m away a lot with work at the moment, so my dataMine time is a little short
Virtual switch do unfortunately not implement the EnergyMetering1 service.
If anyone is interested in showing static load in dataMine follow these instructions:
[ol][li]Go to: Apps->Develo Apps->Create device[/li]
[li]Set the “Upnp Device Filename” to “D_PowerMeter1.xml”[/li]
[li]Press “Create Device”[/li][/ol]
Go to Advanced tab of the newly created device and enter the the following at the bottom:
New service: urn:micasaverde-com:serviceId:EnergyMetering1
New variable: Watts
New value:
After reload the new device Watt-value can be logged in dataMine like any other device.
For updating watt value in scenes etc use the following:
Ok I’ve done this
But my dashboard still has it all as Unaccounted load
Update-I’ve now realised things take a while - a few days later I had a look and all seems to match. I’d guess it happened quicker than that but not instantaneously.
