Unable to use scenes and triggers with Aeotec 4 in 1 sensor

Hi All,

First thanks to you all for the many posts. Through this forum I have been able to address and resolve most of the issues I have experienced thus far.

I have a Vera 3 (firm 1.5.622) with a few light switches, outlets, remote controllers and several Aeotec 4 in 1 sensors. Sensors have been updated with new firmware per earlier posts I have read, and Ambient light, humidity, temp and motion shows up as 4 different modules in the UI.

Most all I have done so far has worked fairly well with the exception of using the scene/trigger functionality to set the Aeotec motion detector to “Arm” and “Bypass”.

Currently I have one of the sensors outside so when motion is detected the lights will come on for a few minutes (currently set for 10 minutes) and then turns off. This part works perfectly.

On top of that functionality I have tried using the Ambient light sensor as a trigger (set at 500 which is midway between settings of 0 (dark) and 1000 (full light)) to activate (ARM) or deactivate (BYPASS) the motion detector so the lights will only come on once it has gotten dark outside. So far I can see in the web menu under triggers where this is changing states with changes in light, but the Bypass and Arm buttons on the motion sensor module are not changing.

I then tried to ARM and BYPASS using the schedule function and it doesn’t seem to be able to change the state of the motion sensor (ARM/BYPASS) either.

When I run one of the above scenes by clicking on the RUN button, I can see the BYPASS/ARM on the motion detector toggle as it should.

Ultimately I would like to use Richard Schaefers Program Logic applications since they are more intuitive to use (at least for me) but I discovered his modules seem to also have problems toggling the ARM/BYPASS of the motion detection module.

I want to say it worked a time or two, but I may have just imagined it. Anybody else having this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

Best Regards,

Jim
