Unable to get any information on node

I have several duwi dimmers and wall switches paired with the Vera Lite unit, but there is no way of linking the two? I have understood that the wall switches need to be configured but this only causes “Unable to get any information on node”.

To be honest I would have though that this simple task would have been a lot easier with the vera, and if I have a product that is somehow incompatible (or is missing a part of the protocol) then I should have gotten a clearer message than “Unable to get any information on node”.

To say that this thing needs more work in the usability department would be an understatement…

(PS: all of the devices work. I know because i have paired them manually. Just not able to do it from the Vera UI)

When you say “paired” do you mean you included them with another controller? A Z-wave device can only be paired with one master controller (it loads the house code of the controller into the device). If you have included the switches with another controller you must first exclude them before Vera will let you include them. Try excluding the devices from Vera first and then try to include them again.

Sorry for the missuse of words. I obviously paired all devices with the vera, and i am trying to associate a switch to a dimmer - The absolute simplest thing you could want a home automation system to do. Still, I am not able to do it (from vera).

@inv,

Welcome!

Have you tried a [tt]Configure node right now[/tt] from the [tt]Settings[/tt] tab of the device? Can you try that with Vera closer to the Merten?

Yes, invoked configure right now for the result in the above attached screenshot (Unable to get any info …) . Have also tried to move the merten unit (+duwi switch units) close to the vera and done the same.

Dimmers (of the same brand) work perfectly when controlled from the vera UI (ask you probably can see from the screenshot).

EDIT: Thanks for the welcome btw! Appreciate all the help I can get :wink:

Figured as much. Maybe try to re-include (i.e. without excluding first) the device, and/or exclude and include again as @ufd108 suggested. Or did you do that too already?

BTW, what’s the model number?
