Unable to add any Zigbee devices

For some reason when I go into the Devices section, then try to add a Generic Zigbee device the Vera no longer works properly. It used to pop up a blue bar at the top saying “Zigbee: Addnode” or something like that, but now it just sits there with the small green spinning GIF and doesn’t do anything. If I pick something specific like the GE 19 zigbee bulb it does allow me to try and it shows “Zigbee: Addnode” at the top. Any idea why the generic zigbee device fails?

After about a minute the GIF disappears and the UI says [Exit] or [Retry]

I’ve already rebooted twice via the UI, and even tried a hard reboot with a power pull but it doesn’t seem to help.

I tried a couple browsers as well to no avail.

I do occasionally get the blue bar but it says “Configuring Z-Wave devices” and goes away a little bit later.

Hi dmcentire,

I’m far from an expert but could it be that you need to be closer to the controller? Perhaps a good test would be to try with the A19 bulb very near the controller.

In another post, maddog suggested resetting GE link bulbs by turning them off and on at 3 second intervals until the light dims then comes back on.
