Saw the new update:

Has anyone tried it yet? I am waiting this time to see any feedback. I had pretty bad experience last update.

Installed without a problem and thus far I have not found new issues, some I knew of are fixed, one or two are not.
Mileage seems to vary though
Cheers Rene
Can’t install it. The device asks to log-in to GetVera and from there is 30 minutes unresponsive. >:(
Hey guys,
Don’t hesitate to contact tech support to support@getvera.com when having difficulties. Enabling tech support and passing the access code from the first interaction will make things faster.
Regards,
John
I did, no reaction so far and the device is looping…
Have you cslled them?
I upgraded last night and everything was OK. I saw Nest thermostat available in the Add Device. I went through the Authorize step to get the code from Nest. Went through the process. I still get this error: Vera Connect WWN Can’t Detect Device. Anyone successfully add Nest thermostat?

John did the upgrade for me meanwhile. Due to the time difference I can’t really expect them to support at my morning hours. 8)
I was thinking about giving it a go. I am on 1.7.481 with my Vera3 and missed a few updates because I have been away and the change log mentioned some devices my have an issue reconnecting. I have always taken each update step by step so this is my first time jumping up multiple versions. I have created my backups so what can go wrong…
I’ve sent emails all day, and been on hold for the last two hours. What gives? This is my second vera since the previous update killed my vera 3, and I’m on a backup unit that randomly died today. It’s the weekend and I’m stuck.
I get three green lights (power, WAn, Wifi) yet cannot access the unit through any means

I’m sure you tried but I usually power down and re power back up at this point until you get a z-wave light.
My first try failed. Cycled power, got back in, and upgrade worked on second try.

My first go around did not go so well. After the update vera rebooted about every half hour to 45 minutes. The alert tab was littered with “chckcpu/reboot” type alerts.
It turned out the Sercomm camera app was causing the issue. I removed the app. Problem solved. Cameras where re-installed as IP cameras. This took days to figure out with tech support. My family left me.
Hi all,
all my Vision door sensors are not working correct anymore after the upgrade. Once they are are tripped they do not get back to untripped. Anyone have a solution for this?
Thanke,
mthome
Welcome to the club. The same happens for my MonoPrice shock/glass break and PIR sensors. I have a ticket open with Vera and it’s logged as a bug. I have remote support open as they are checking my logs to get an idea what is going onb.
Send a ticket to Vera Support by in the UI7 menu going to Settings → Tech Support and click the Contact Support button. They may ask you to enable remote access (button is at the bottom of that screen) so they can review the logs.
I created a scene that untrips all those sensors every 15 minutes to make it usable. I unfortunately had to disable that as it was screwing with Vera Support’s log reviews. ;D
The LUUP for it is in this thread: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,31793.0.html
You might try specifying the Nest IP address. If you don’t know the IP address, you can find it in the Nest itself via the equipment menu (as I recall). It took me several attempts to get it configured, but once configured, the nest, smoke, and CO sensors appeared.
Thanks BOFH! Ticket is opened already.
Meanwhile I played around a bit further and created a scene per door sensor that runs when the door sensor is closed. The scene runs the luup code that you referred to.
Then everything works as before - the big disadvantage is that I had to create a scene per door sensor.
Correction: As it turned out, it’s not working all the time
So I guess I have to wait for a fix or do as the other guys with a scheduler every 15 minutes.
Upgrade worked as a charm!
Great work!
Loaded OK on my VeraLite, but it screwed up some of my scenes. Had to delete and recreate them.
This upgrade went smoother than any other for me on UI7 and I must say my Vera is working better than it ever has!
