I’ve got UI7 installed. I set up a simple scene that notifies me when the scene runs (manually triggered). When I run the scene I get 2-3 copies of the push notification on my iPhone.
Why? Have I got something set up wrong? Or is this another half baked Vera “feature”?
No issues with duplicate notifications on my Android phone via the Vera app. You may want to check the ‘Notifications’ and ‘Scenes’ pages for the devices you get duplicate notifications for as those may clue you to the source.
Thanks for that, but there’s nothing wrong with the config. As a matter of fact, if you have the Vera App open on screen when the push notification is sent, you get “11” (that’s right 11) pop up notifications.
My test script is very simple. Just a manual triggered scene that notifies one user via the push notifications (checkbox) when the scene runs.

The problem that is most common for this is multiple notifications being created due to user adding more then on notification before the vera has rebooted. After it reboots and you go back to the notification they usually find a bunch of duplicates that were made.
I created a simple manual scene to try and replicate your situation. Even with the Vera app open on my Android phone I only get 1 (one) notification every time I click the scene’s run icon. Could it be the app on your iDevice duplicating the notifications?

Hi integlikewhoa. Just rebooted and ran my script, almost the same.
If phone is asleep, it seems to get multiple push notifications and then you can see IOS consolidate them into a single alert.
If the phone is awake with the Vera App open, and you send the push (via the script), I get TWELVE pop up push notifications. LOL.

So, that didn’t fix it. Do you have an iphone?[/quote]
I have Iphone, Ipad, Galaxy tab and Note 3 and 4. But rebooting wasn’t what I was getting at. I was more that ui7 has created multiple notifications in vera. I would check your list of notifications to make sure there is not several of the same in VERA. Have you tried to send it to another device (as you think it’s ios related)? This will also well you if its ui7 related or ios related.
