UI4 beta 1 upgrade problem

Decided to upgrade from 1.0.996 to UI4.
Followed the instructions: went to micasaverde.com/vera2 where it detected my Vera2 and asked if it could upgrade. I performed a backup and I chose the option to save the existing config when it upgraded. I let 17 minutes elapse on the timer before pulling the plug. Plugged it back in and waited a couple of minutes. My Vera was set with a static IP address and I was now getting no response when attempting to ping that address. findvera.com didn’t find it either. cp.mios.com did see a device with my serial number on a dhcp address, however it will not add the device. It hangs on the page stating, “I am trying to connect to your unit using local network connection. One moment while I try contact it on your local home network.
If you still see this message after 15 seconds, please reset your unit, wait one minute then click here.” I did as it said, several times over the last hour, with no luck. The new IP address of my vera responds to ping, but no response to http, https, or ssh. Not really sure how to proceed at this point. Any suggestions?

There is a known issue that will not keep your static network settings.

You will need to log into Vera Directly

Assign a static IP to your LAN card 192.168.81.2

Plug your PC 's ethernet cord into LAN2

Wait for connection

Type 192.168.81.1

You should be good to go.

You can look in the Wikki for more info
Good Luck

That was it. I was scared that if it didn’t save my old IP info, it wouldn’t have saved my Z-Wave devices, but fortunately, once I got in on the default IP, everything was there.
Thanks!

@ zmistro …

What do you mean by “Type 192.168.81.1”?
Enter this into your browser (i.e., http://192.168.81.1)?

I tried your instructions - but my Vera2 unit is still dead after attempting to upgrade from UI3 to UI4. After powering up (after a few seconds) only the power LED will light up.
