UI 7 plug in test possibility

As i do not think that the upgrade to UI 7 will stop.
Possible tomorrow or next week but one day it will be there.

So i am wondering if i can test my own plugins, all written in trail and error mode , in UI7 without upgrading my system to UI7
In UI 5 all plugins are running, and i would like to keep that until further.

Kind regards

If you are referring to plugins that you are running on your controller, you could check in with Tech Support and could tell you.

@marc shenker,

i understood you well i need to send the plug in on which i am working each time to you to check to see if it is ui7 compliant.
do you modify and adapt my plug in to be ui 7 compliant if it is not running on ui7?

Are these plugins that you have developed and made available to others through the app store? Or plugins that you have installed on your controller?

No i have written some plugin for my self and i have written a plugin based on other pluginon others

I do not think you can handle all privat written plugin to be checked

So my question remains; who can one check conformity with ui7
Or you get a large number of plugins to be checked

Pls advise

I will have to check with the Dev Team tomorrow. I honestly don’t know. I would think that the easiest and best way to test them would be by loading them into your controller. Make sure to save a local backup before you do.

Mark,

Forgive me put i was trying to get your mind to the following idea;

we have a lot of users in ui5 writing their own plug in and if completed they post it on the forum.
myself i have written a few, and i am still in processs or creating plugins. so in total 3 plug in running and one on development.

for sure others have the same or more.

now my question is; how do i know that my plug in is running on ui7.

at the moment i will not change a running system cause i do not know, and can not test is my plugins are ok for ui7

i do not think that you personally, of somebody els will check and modify my 4 plugins (5 form him, 6 from her, etc , etc, etc)

again; think of an option for forum users to test the plugin without being forced to upgrade their system otherwise nobody will take a jump in to the new

@huib on of the issues with us testing your plugins is that we don’t necessarily have the devices with which to properly test them. We are working on a way dilettante between UI5 and UI7 apps in the “app store”. We don’t expect you to change your system in order to test. That is why offered dev boxes to existing developers. Lets talk offline about your plugins and what we can do to help.

If you were to publish your ui5 apps to the app store then others can help you test them on both ui5 and ui7.

If you don’t want to publish to app store then you can share them on the forums ans others can also help test them.

If you want to keep them private only for you to test, then you need to buy an extra VERA lite 100.00 or vera edge 150.00 for testing.

Make sense?

I totally get it.
