I can’t get vera to work on the battery. I couldn’t get it to work last night so I thought it must just be low so I charged it overnight and most of today and it still won’t work. The battery light comes on nice and bright but when I plug it into my vera and flick the power switch, all of vera’s lights come on and then go off…that’s it. I would really like to re-pair my locks and a couple switches that didn’t make it thru the upgrade to UI4. Someone help please.
If you have a wall plug within about 25 feet or so of the lock you can still pair it with a full power inclusion. I didn’t use a battery with mine and it worked fine. Vera is even upstairs and I just run down and type in the programing code within the 30 seconds.
My friend has a similar problem and we found that if you allow it to come up on battery with the Ethernet connected, and then disconnect the Ethernet then it seems to allow him to include his devices ok.
Well, since I have you ;D
One lock failed to show up at all when I did my upgrade. I tried the full power inclusion (a dozen times) and I can’t get it to connect so I assume I need to un-include it first. How do I do that without walking it over to the lock?
The second lock shows up but says “Device failed to configure”…now what?
A couple of my switches upstairs failed to connect too but now that I think about it I guess I could just walk it upstairs and plug in to the closest network jack and use my laptop to set them up again if I needed to.
edit
on the second lock, when I hit the “Configure node right now” button I get “Unable to get any information on node”
Awesome…nothing works now…just freakin’ awesome. LOVE VERA.
VERA, YOU HAVE STOLEN DAYS, POSSIBLY WEEKS, OF MY LIFE NOW AND I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT BUT GRAY HAIR! I WANT MY LIFE BACK! JUST WORK OR GO “F” YOURSELF…NOW!
I know how you feel when things go wrong. Did you do a full power exclude first before doing the include. You would have to do that if it was paired before and isn’t working now.
SCHLAGE LINK NO PROBLEMS IT’S BACK TO A BEAUTIFUL LIFE.
First the Foscams and now the whole Vera in ruins, what are you doing with those things.
You must have some kind of electricity in your body

I’m telling you! I need to learn how to walk away from this stuff. Also for some reason I haven’t learned that anything I want to do will take at least one day. I still have boxes of stuff I haven’t installed yet because I don’t have the energy to fight with it.
@mbairhead, you sound like Vera’s most unlucky user!
I will admit to having some small bits of pain here and there, but then again I actually enjoy battling with mine

Well, that is a title that I would rather not have :o I suspect it may be true but you guys have been great help and it makes the victories all the sweeter when you have to fight for it. I would LOVE some responses from MCV though, the battery issue needs addressed.
