TZ45 (trane, RCS) install app question

What app are you guys using? I am having some issues with the UI7 app built in… it shows “off” when it is in auto mode (auto heat/cool, not auto temp mode).

So i cant adjust the temp, I have to turn it to cool or heat, then adjust… which of course is not what I want to do.

Thanks! 8)

You might want to read more on the Ui7 thermostat problems. I think what your describing is not an app problem but a ui7 problem with thermostat’s. There is a bunch of threads on here talking about these problems. Maybe browse that and see if its related.

Thanks… yup, that is probably it.

Easy fix, downgrade your VeraLite to ui5 and run that for as long as you can since it stable and everything works.

My boss did exactly that… He was on ui5, hated ui7 and went back to ui7. I bought my Vera right when they switched to IU7

Doesn’t matter which Ui came on your vera. As long as it’s not the new Vera EDGE then it can be downgraded to ui5.

Will I have to rebuild my network by hand and/or scenes etc?

I can’t answer that. Since you don’t have a backup on ui5 I’m going to assume yes you would have to.

that is what I figured!

One busy day will save you alot of troubled days.

Do we know for sure that UI5 won’t run on the edge?

Don

Unless MCV has an internal build, there is no UI5 release. The edge has a different chip for both CPU and zwave.
