Trouble with Variable Container value as input in PLEG

Hi Richard. I’m trying to get the value from a Variable Container and use it as an input in PLEG. Under Triggers if I select “Variable Container” as my device and then choose “V3 value equals” as my Event Type, then name the Trigger and put in the value, things don’t work as I would expect them to. Have a look at the screen shots and let me know if I’m doing something wrong. Thanks for the help.

Edit: forgot to mention that I can make this work if I use the Device Properties screen to do it, but then I need to use two conditions to keep track of what the value is. Seems cleaner to be able to use it as a Trigger if possible.

Have you changed the value of variable container ?
You will not get a timestamp until the trigger actually triggers!

I hadn’t yet, and that took care of filling in the timestamps but would you mind tweaking the Description field when you do another update to be more descriptive about the Trigger that is being used. I’ve attached another image of what I’m seeing after the value of the Variable Container is changed. I have several Variable Containers and it would be helpful to know which one is being referenced.

Thanks again.

I use a MCV function to get the description … I will add to the todo list to use my own function to try and get a better description.
