Transition Linear 3 and 4 way light switches to a Vera 3 UI7

I acquired a vacation home that had cellular control of several linear wave light switches. I have disconnected the service and am moving to Vera which I use in other locations. Several “Control Boxes” are showing up during attempts to include the switches and I guess it is actually a switch adjacent to the light switches. I had several of the 3 way switches working in Vera, but not from all the switches for a particular light. I am looking for some guidance as to what sequence to follow for the inclusion. I ended up excluding everything and will try again tomorrow. Is there something that I need to do with the “Control Boxes”. Is there a certain sequence that I need to follow. Does only main switch need to be excluded then included or does each switch for a particular light need to be. I appreciate anything that can be shared to move this project along. Thanks

You’ll need to provide some more detailed information. Control boxes? What switches? What makes and models?

The only thing of use that you mention is Linear. At this point, I will assume that you have Linear WS15Z-1 switches, WD500Z-1 dimmers and WT00Z-1 n-way accessory switches(one button Z-Wave scene controller), but you need to verify. If you have other switches, then things will probably be different than what follows.

In the case of these switches and dimmers, with the WT00Z-1 n-way accessory switch, the WT00Z-1 must be associated with the switches that you want it to control after it is included. Here’s an old post of mine that explains how to associate in UI5. UI7 will be similar and there are many other posts on the forums about how to do it, but I’m not finding them immediately in my search.

@Z-Waver you helped me get pointed in the right direction. The switches are WD500Zs. The others are included as 3 Way Wall Accessory. I did manage to get to get the most important lights working as 3 ways by using the Device options group 1 . However, I got no further when trying others starting with a group 2. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks

You and everyone else unfortunately. I would absolutely love to be able to use > group 1 associations (which according to the spec sheet are supported by multiple button taps), but to my knowledge nobody has this working with the Linear switches and Vera.

Confirmed. They only have group 1, despite what’s in the Linear manual.

Years ago, multiple groups were supported, but not anymore. There’s an old thread(s) on here lamenting this.
