Transferring from Veralite to Vera Edge > Z-Wave Failed to Start

I had a Veralite with the latest UI 7 firmware, so I followed the detailed steps outlined in the following link to transfer to my new Vera Edge:

After transferring successfully, when I apply the backup from the Veralite to my Vera Edge (with the Restore Z-Wave option unchecked), my Vera Edge shows Z-Wave Failed to Start. I tried it multiple times, reseting the Vera Edge and starting from scratch, power cycling and I always get the Z-Wave Failed to Start message after applying the Veralite backup. I need to apply the backup to restore all the scenes.

I see that the Z-Wave version changes from 3.83 to 3.67 on my Vera Edge after applying the Veralite backup (with the Restore Z-Wave option unchecked). I assume that’s the symptom but I’m not sure what’s causing this.

I spent countless hours on the phone with Vera Support and the last person to help me out was Alexander. He said he tried it 5 times himself and he continued to get this error. He doesn’t know what’s causing it so I wanted to post here to see if anyone had a similar experience and found how to get this problem resolved.

I’m now operating my devices with my Veralite in slave mode while the Vera Edge is inoperable showing Z-Wave failed to start.

Tks!
