Question for anyone using Trane XL624 on UI17, I’m guessing this device is not supported but only have basic set point capabilities after the upgrade.
UI15 with this stat was a much better interface and showed all the other sensors, any way to get these back with advance settings?
What other sensors are you missing?
I’m missing the humidity.
I don’t have that same Trane I have another, but even on UI5 it wasn’t a seperate device. It was under the advanced menu. Ui7 is the same for me, but it’s not called humidity it’s called “Current Level”. I use Homewave as the app and I have it display this info on the app.
What are you trying to do with the humidity? Display it in a certain app, use it in a scene. I might be able to help further.
I’m running UI7 with the Trane XL624 and it shows the humidity sensor as a device.
I’m running VeraPlus and added the XL624 using generic z-wave, can you let me know what controller and how you originally added it?
Everything worked like you have on my previous vera lite with U15.

There is no other way to add it as no trane thermostat is on the list. All you can do is try removing and reading it again if you feel that you need an extra device. Maybe move the controller closer when you try and give it more time.

Using the premium Homewave app shows the humidity. I have 2 premium apps on my iphone, VeraMate & Homewave.
Mostly been using VeraMate, I tried customizing the Homewave app and when choosing sensor measurement the humidity is showing. Funny thing is that when choosing sensor measurement only the humidity is picked, no room temperature. Using this for monitoring purposes, just want to make sure that my humidifier is working properly. One app has only room temp and the other app has only humidity, weird.
Just got my VeraPlus yesterday, and started installing a few lamp dimmers and my Trane XL624.
As mentioned, I had to use the generic zwave device. Was able to get it paired on the second attempt. But as previously mentioned, it does not show the humidity, which could come in handy for some. Here in Arizona, that’s not all that important. I did look on the advanced tab under device settings and saw the CurrentLevel was 28, which is our current humidity.
It is there, but I don’t know how to display it.
Others have mentioned that the Trane XL624 has two additional devices associated with it. One I believe is the humidity device, and the other would be, I believe, the outside temperature. From reading the info on that Trane, an outside temperature device is an option that would be hard wired into the thermostat.
One other observation that I have made is that when you are logged into to Vera Controller, I use FireFox, you can make some changes to the fan like turning it to Auto or On. These options are not available on the Vera mobile app for iOS.

Use Homewave and you’ll be able to to do so much more then the stock Vera Mobile app.
You’ll be able to display that humidity sensor and control the fan.
I was never able to get outside temp to work on my Trane due to the way trane was setup. it could only display and send one temp to vera. But I don;t have the Xl624 and not sure if that thermostat sends both temps to vera. Then it would be another thing to get vera to display it, but again homewave you could do it.
