trane thermostat not displaying temp

Just bought three Trane T-stats from the radioshack sale, installed the first one and it shows up in vera but it doesnt display the temp either current or setpoints. i tried setting it Celsius since i remember reading somewhere that was a problem but that didnt work either. if somebody could please help me with this i would like to get it solved before i install the other two t-stats.

im running version 1.1.1047 if that has anything to do with it

No temp in the UI or on the t-stat?

If no temp on the UI is the t-stat configured?

Try “poll node”

Its in the UI it’s shows fine on the t-stat itself. I tried polling the node and it’s been installed about two days now. Is there maybe a setting or something I’m missing?

Have you tried to run a z-wave network repair? That usually fixes things for me when they’ve gone wonky. I just picked up one of the Trane’s and it is working fine on my Vera with UI4. If the repair doesn’t work, I’d try removing and re-adding the node.

Make sure the device is configured.
That it has a configuration date & time and has atleast one neighbor.

ok its been a couple days and since i bought three i have installed another t-stat and replaced the one with the issue with one of the other ones i bought. these two thermostats function nicely and as expected. no issues with not showing temp (only the known bug about fan mode always showing “on” when its actually on auto).

the one difference i noticed between the two that work and the one that doesn’t is that when you you look on the thermostat it self under the thermostat info the version number is different

the version number for the two that work is V.01.00.10

The one that doesn’t work is V.01.00.13

should i try to return it to radioshack who has been hell to deal with and dont stock them in any of my local stores??

Or should i submit a ticket (which i havent done and arent sure how to do) and hope that it gets fixed for that version number hopefully within the next year??

I recently bought and installed one which is version V.01.00.13 and it is running ok… it may be a problem with that particular sample… Sounds like you have a good case for an exchange…
