Are there any touchscreens that can be used with veralite?
I’m not sure about Z-wave specific touchscreens, but i’ve looked at some of the fancier Z-wave scene controllers and touchscreens for other proprietary systems for heating or lighting, and shuddered at the price of these things.
An alternative solution is to pick up a generic iOS, Android or Windows touchscreen device, and install software on it to talk to Vera. Check the subforums in this section; there are several good software packages out there, and more on the way (I am writing one specifically with wall mounted touchscreens in mind). Remotely controlling Vera is not a demanding job and any old hardware should be able to handle it. Get a low-end Android tablet or pick up a second-hand older model iPhone or iPod touch, that’s as cheap as it gets…

Any tablet with wifi should do.
As soon as I can score another Touchstone, I will use my spare HP Touchpad with Android ICS and AuthomationHD as a touch screen controller. As it seems they finally have the audio working now, which should allow voice commands.
With the touchstone charger there is no wires, just placing it on the unit to charge it. Making it an ideal touchscreen remote at $150 for a 10" capacitive multi touch tablet. Additionally, I can check my email, surf the web on the same unit.

Have you gotten the voice commands working?
They had them for $33 last week and I missed out. Was hoping to find one for under $25.
Unfortunately I’ve been to busy to install the latest ICS nightly on my TP and test audio. I’m hoping thsi weekend to get some time for that.
