TKB Dimmer module keeps on being configured

I’m still fairly new to z-wave, having been an X-10 fan for many years. I’m trying different manufacturers for various plug-in modules, and have an issue with a TKB plug in dimmer module (UK variant), the T67E.

It appears to work ok, but whenever I change configuration or anything in Vera and hit the Save button, or the Reload button, or reboot Vera (for whatever reason), this particular device always reports:

  • Getting the name, followed by
  • Getting the version, followed by
  • Getting the manufacturer.

Is there any reason as to why this would be happening? Does anyone else have experience of the T67E and get similar things happening? Once the name, version and manufacturer have been discovered, the device appears to work fine - but I just don’t understand why it keeps on being requested.

As a side note, I notice that the “Configured At” field in the Settings tab for the device reports it was configured at 1-Jan-1970 00:00 - which is never a good date, I wouldn’t have thought! This doesn’t change if I click “Configure node right now”, either.

Could it be that my module is faulty, somehow?

I have one of these - in fact the very first Z-Wave device I bought and attached to Vera. It works just fine - like all the other TKB switches I have.

I checked all the capabilities on your screen snapshot, and mine are identical. The 1-Jan-1970 is the ‘zero’ date for the underlying system and really indicates that, despite all appearances, the device configuration has not been completed correctly. First step would be to exclude and re-include the device from the network.

Interesting what you say. I have excluded/included the module several times, thinking that might be the problem, so it’s beginning to look a little faulty perhaps? I have a plug-in switch made by TKB, and that works just fine (without these configuration messages). And everspring plug-in dimmers, too, which work fine.
