Hello
We have just written a long tutorial with tips how you can use Vera as alarm and home automation controller. The post are written in Swedish (Google translate to the right of the page solves it pretty good)
We have written about all our procjects from the past year, and all z-wave sensors like zipato, Stripes (Stripes was just released in Sweden! If you have not seen it it?s incredible thin and invisible), Arduino, esp8266, MySensor and much more.
I hope this post is ok and those who are interested continue to read all information we have collected over the year in this large post. We made it to inspire you to see all the good things you can do with the Vera system (for example make your washing machine send SMS when it?s done).
Thanks for all feedback
I agree totally agree that this is not a fully certified alarm system. I write that in the post to . But it?s possible to use it LIKE an alarm, it?s much better alarm than nothing.
The only real ?alarm? systems I would trust today are cable connected alarms, wireless solution always suffer from the possibility of jammers.
Strips is out on the market in Sweden this week, Stripes sent me two of their Strips sensors last day. I will write more about them next week. I don?t know if it?s Samsungs battery or if it?s something else. With the standard settings in stripes the battery life is about 10 years
