Timers unreliable

Anyone else finding timers unreliable? Mine seemed to work fine for over a month then a week or so back they would miss the “turn off” part of a command, I am using a very simple timer to control 1 lamp, after having problems I began experimenting with some appliance mod’s and up to 45 min they seem to work ok but 1 hour and above they only turn the device off about half the time randomly, not sure but I think I may even have had unscheduled turn ons, just wondering if others have seen this

No problems related to Vera. The Intermatic HA07 got really flakey on me (which I part of the reason I went to the Vera). At one point I thought the Vera was acting up, but it turns out that when I upgrade the firmware from pre-LUUP to LUUP, the timers got screwed up a bit.

No. Vera has been rock solid (my old X-10/Insteon install was VERY unreliable).
When you look at the dashboard, are the gears green?
Can you consistently control the switches from Dashboard?

In the devices section, under each device is a “stress test”…i’m not sure what it does, but perhaps its worth a shot.
You can also try deleting the device from the network and re-add it…

Thanks for the feedback, yes I can control reliably from the dashboard, all gears are green, and I’ve tested and seen errors on a variety of intermatic and leviton plug in mods, have had no problem with running scenes with delays, it has been specific to “timers” placed in scenes, in testing I set up several new ones and they frequently failed to shut off, these have been created in current firmware, yesterday ran three and all failed to turn off, today ran three and all worked correctly ???

Yes I have the same problem. Scenes are inconsistent for me. I can turn devices on/off from the device screen without a problem. Whenever I put actions into scenes with timers (especially if I use delays also) then I get unpredictable behaviour.

I have a ticket open with MCV, but if more people report (with logs) it might help them realise this is a problem still

I have had the same problem - I guessed.

In fact it was another scene that sent an “open”-command briefly after my scene should have closed a window. When I came home I saw that opened window and thought there was a problem with my evening scene.

Thanks Madas, will do … it happens even when that timer is the only active command, I am suspicious that the communication and waiting issues inherent in battery devices may play a roll
