Timed events not triggering

I’m finding that Vera is not triggering timed event’s consistently. The scene trigger fine if I run them manually but when left to turn on a sunset and off at midnight they don’t always work. I’m running 1.0.862 and plan to take a look at the logs over the next couple of days to see if it’s a zwave issue or a vera time clock issue but I was wondering if anyone else had seen this?

By the way is there anyway to get a realtime dump of the logs, in other words see the commands just after they are initiated without having to go back in view the log files?

TIA

Jose

Did you re-set your time zone when you installed the upgrade? Sorry if this is too obvious…

Yes, it so happens that I posted about the very same issue under “Luup and Development”, this morning:

Somewhat relieved to know I’m not the only one. (Firmware 879, btw)

I had the same problem in the 862 and in the 879, problem is reported to MCV

Adding another voice. Just sent off ticket to MCV. FW .862. Simply upgraded and did not re-create any of the scenes.

I am remote from Vera

I have a scene set up “Evening Light Timer” that turns on several of the lights at 10:15pm and then turns them off various times later.

Scene is enabled, but I logged in this evening, and the lights were not turned on.

Pls advise. Support access and verbose logs are still on from the previous issues a few days ago.
.//A.

886 seems to fix this issue, at least it did for me.

Confirmed, reluctantly upgraded to 886, but it did fix it. Haven’t noticed any other issues yet.

Ditto. Upgraded to 886 this morning, and all seems better now.

Thanks for this thread. I’ve also had consistent problems with timed events (reported to MCV but unanswered to date), and will upgrade to the latest version, as well.

Well apparently FindVera.com doesn’t work with 886. I had to trick it into thinking it was 879 to get it to load, don’t know if there are any consequences for that though.

Agreed, Boyo. I just tried FindVera (which I thought was working OK earlier today!!), and received this error message after logging in and clicking CONTROL:

The requested URL /remote 1.0.886/ was not found on this server.

When I originally tried it last night I had no issues, but when I tried again today I got the same error.

There’s a bug in the last Luup release that daily timers only get triggered once unless there’s a reset. It was fixed last week, but we haven’t released a new beta yet because there were some other things we were trying to fix first. You can install this firmware and timers are fixed: http://download.controlmyhouse.net/betafirmware/ftp/wl500gP_Luup-1.0.895.trx

But we haven’t done a full test suite on it yet.
