Thermostat Control - Enter Value

Maybe I’m missing something, but is there anyway to enter a decimal value in a thermostat control? I can see the arrows on the “Devices” page that increment in 0.5 increments. Then if I click on the device icon, it opens up the control screen where I can utilize a slider to increment in odd 0.1 increments. Can I click anywhere to just enter a value (ie 70.0)?

This option is available in the Vera default web interface. Just curious…thanks!

Have you tried to click on the value itself?

Yes, with no luck. CT100 is the thermostat.

see the “21” in this screen shot. did you try to click here and enter the value ?

This is what I see for my device…the temperature value is not clickable except to highlight as simple text. Got the same in both Chrome and Firefox.

  • what is the device type ( in attributes screen )
  • check Chrome console log ( ctrl + J while the altui window is open, then reload altui , go to that screen again ) and get any message from the console. copy / paste send me

thx

Upon reload, clicking on Devices, and then the Thermostat device, and then clicking on attributes gives me nothing in the console log.

Initial refresh of the AltUI page gave me this…

One other thing I noticed, is that when you set the thermostat as a favorite, it comes up on the “Home” page with a rainbow arch graph that maxes out red at 40 degrees Celsius every time because my thermostat uses Fahrenheit.

Max are normally expanded as values grow. if your value is 100, the gage si supposed to change its max and show 100 for the range. is it not what your are seeing ?
that being said I can try to chagne that default behavior a bit when temp setting is farenheit, i ll have a look

I ll use a default of 40 for box in Celcius and 110 for box in Farenheit. the settings will come from your box weather settings on UI7 and otherwise from ALTUI option page on UI5

Thanks amg0 for the home page temp fix.

I kind of hijacked my own thread there. Did you have any ideas for fixing the thermostat display originally mentioned?

no idea, so we need extra debug information like suggested earlier.

Already replied with that info. See reply #6 above. Thanks!

yes but the pb is I could not recognize the outpout given in #6. does not look like what I expected , was it taken from the right window ? ( altui page when you open the control panel of the thermostat and try to click on the value ? )
a bit clueless right now on this

maybe one idea, the device may have a specific JSON file. can you send me the JSON file that it uses ? ( you should find the name in the attribute of the device in the control panel )
