Text to speech repeats itself?

When I use the ‘say’ command…either manually in a device or within a PLEG… it repeats itself partially. So if I have it say “Ding dong someone is at the door” , what I get from the Sonos Play:1 is “Ding Dong someone is at the door Ding Dong someone is at the”

Have I done something wrong? Is there a way to just have it say the thing I want?

Your conditions are probably firing twice in PLEG. Probably not a sonos or sonos plugin issue. Try writing some de-duping logic on your condition to only execute once.

What happen when you test the TTS from the plugin UI ?

I’m sorry for the delay…I didn’t notice the responses earlier.

If I go into the device and then to the TTS tab and I put in “this is a test” and press say…it says it about 2.5 times. “This is a test This is a test This is”

I have no idea why you have this behaviour.
The only explanation I can imagine is that your Vera is horribly busy and the delayed action call I use in the plugin occured one or two seconds later than what it should !

Are you running UI5 and a recent version of the Sonos plugin ? Plugin installed from the app store ?
