So after this switch is installed, a blue light came on, I clicked on the switch to turn it on. and I heard a click, blue light went off and light won’t turn on, afterwards, blue light never comes back on at all, did I fry the unit? or does it need to be reset? I reset the breaker and it still won’t function…

i would say that it is dead. try another known working unit in the same spot as your non-functioning one.
