First off, I want to say thanks to the devs and advanced users on the forum. I was able to finally get my EVL-3 board to work with my Ademco alarm system and with my VeraLite on UI5.
Secondly, I wonder if anyone has integrated Tasker with the EVL-3 functions? I tried to play around with it this morning but came up with more questions than answers. I have Tasker working on other Vera elements and would like to do some schedules and geofencing for my alarm.
Using the AutoVera plugin, I selected my vera and the alarm panel device. From there, I have two options Common Device and Security Sensor. Common Device provides me with the “Toggle” option. Security Sensor provides me with the “Armed State” option, which can be “Armed” or “Unarmed”. How or can you designate between “Stay”, “Away”, “Instant”, etc?
I’ve played with Tasker/AutoVera reporting the Alarm interface state. I have a MultiSwitch that uses one switch for “Alarm Away” and another for “Alarm Instant” and a third for “Disarm.” Setting one cause action in PLEG that arms or disarms the DSC accordingly. The Arm switches remains set while the alarm is armed and are displayed as such in the ImperiHome wall panels and InperiHome on my phone. The switches are also used by PLEG to control the state of severlal Blue Iris profiles for Day/Night/Away/Instant/Violated.
After a little fudging around a bit, I was able to create the switches you mentioned. I now have the ability to arm/disarm my system via my phone and my voice. Just another ringing endorsement for Tasker.
I haven’t done the geofencing yet, but that was due to time constraints.
How are you using Tasker/AutoVera for this? Is it a widget?
I use Authomation HD, and a Multiswitch like you use yours, and AHD shows things properly… but alas, no Widget.
Would be cool to have an app that could create a widget from AHD.[/quote]
I have a Tasker Widget on my phone that arms and another that disarms the system using AutoVera to set/unset the appropriate Multiswitch in Vera. But make sure you have PIN/PASSWORD security enabled on your phone
I have since gone to ImperiHome on my phone which allows Pin/Password security on the ImperiHome Widget and will probably abandon the Tasker Widget for lack of security
