Is it just me? Since January 12 I’ve been getting “login failed” errors trying to connect to the Micasaverde forum through Tapatalk on both iOS and Android.
This is the only forum I use Tapatalk for so I don’t know how widespread the problem is.
I forgot how tedious using a mobile web browser on a forum is.
You would THINK this could be fixed by now as NO OTHER forum (8) I visit has this issue. I believe it just shows how MCV as a whole could care less once the unit is sold. If we didn’t only control 5 items with vera I would find another solution. I feel that MCV is a company that acts like it makes devices in the basement. If its nice outside they go out and play, screw work and support.
I was not going to comment, but I decided to anyway. This is most likely low priority for them as the forum itself is functional. Yes it would be nice for it to be fixed as I rely on this feature as well. But MCV is a small company and they have much more to worry about. Also to note, MCV has noted that the forum is not a place they check on a regular basis for issues and is meant for the community. All issues should be directed to their support either email or ticket.

lol, even if it had the same priority like a major security issue I would be surprised if MCV solves this within a year! And they should care about this community since they keep advertising stuff (ideas, plugins, functionalities…) which result directly out of this forum!
But there are enough other threads which describe the way MCV works, let’s not get into that.

This is not directed at you:
The forums are by users for users which is FREE technical support for a company. I wish that with my company, my support staff just worked for free and fixed stuff and then made enhancements to my product and allowed others to get those enhancements for free. What a deal for MCV.
Once the unit is out the door everything becomes either a low priority, non issue or a “feature” of the unit. Their website has been 100% unchanged for years. It depicts happy user friendly iPad access flowers shooting out of a puppies a$$ harmony. That is NOT reality. Maybe they need to figure out what is and isn’t a priority. They have marketed themselves as “low cost” and I suppose with that moniker we are getting the support we deserve and paid for. cheap is as cheap does. I would think that happy current owners who want to spread the word and purchase upgrades and tell their neighbors because the device is so darn awesome and the service and support is top notch. But what do I know - I know 20 friends over the last few years that want some level of automation in their homes. I wouldn’t recommend Vera to anyone because I know it would frustrate the average home owner and I would not want to be the one who recommended it. People ask about my stuff when they see the rack and all the network connection in the “brew room” they ask about the automation stuff and say wow I would like this and that. I just tell them "oh the thermostats "its an older NEST, you can get one at Lowes now. The lights - ya their on a timer. Here have another beer I brewed last week.

I don’t get it. This was about Tapatalk not functioning anymore. Are you complaining about MCV now? Or not?
