After last night firmware upgrade for my Vera Edge (to 1.7.1419), both my smoke detectors (FirstAlert Smoke+CO2) went in to alarm mode only on Z-Wave, not in real. Didn?t have time to troubleshoot this. Put both smoke detectors on ?disarmed? mode for now. Anyone have any suggestion?
seems a few things went with this FW

Roll your system back to the previous firmware as this is a confirmed issue that has been replicated by GetVera. I’ve been bitten by it as well and rolled back to 7.0.10 as I need/want my smoke detectors to be functional.
Older firmware can be found at: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,32278.0.html
If you don’t feel comfortable rolling it back yourself, Vera Support will help you if you ask them.
Thanks for advice. Tried to re-insert my smoke detectors again in network with new firmware but no luck. So I did roll back to previous firmware which create another mess, all my settings were gone. Spend all evening yesterday tried to setup all again. What a headache >:(. Looks like the best way to turn costumers away from Vera products is to release untested firmware.
Hmm, I had no issues with my firmware rollback. No loss of devices or scenes or settings…
my unit ended up bricked, so it seems it can go any which way.
Upgrade roll back OK, but I lost both my smoke detectors, which showed up as unknown motion sensor? (I did remove them, reinsert them back in newer firmware just to see if that will fix them but didn’t). Also I lost all rooms devices location, so I have to recreated them all back.

I have had two false alarms from smoke detectors as well (Everspring SF813). My practical solution was to partially stop the escalation of the alarm: just start ventilation but no sirens and lights. Vera indicated it will be fixed in the next firmware.
