The last three days I spent installing a Schlage Link system. So all this stuff is already up and running well.
I have 5 Schlage door locks (lever style)
1 have the Trane thermostat
1 have 2 Schlage cameras
I have numerous light modules and wall switches and double plugs
I ordered, and have on hand a Vera 2, I also have some Sony infrared cameras.
I have my Schlage system ALL UP AND RUNNING. It was easy, but time consuming enrolling all the devices.
I would like to possible switch over to using the Vera 2 box and system for a couple of reasons. 1 to avoid the monthly fee. 2. so I can utilize some of these other cameras I bought which offer infrared and the Schlage only offers their 1 solo camera (no infrared, no pan; tilt).
Will it be a royal pain re-enrolling all of my devices that are already installed and functioning well within the Schlage system? another question: I ordered and have on hand a Z-stick S2 dongle from Aeon labs (i don’t know what for).
Thanks in advance if anyone has time to answer my very uneducated questions. I guess te big difference is with the Vera 2 I will possibly be able to use some of these other cameras I ordered ; but I want to continue to use all the other stuff I mentioned having just installed. I will want this Vera gadget to be controlled by Iphone and I pad like my Schlage is.
