Switch Legs/No Neutral

poking around at some of the switches in my house, and have noticed that the ones I’d like to have Vera control are mostly “switch legs” - no neutral at the switch/with power ran directly to the fixture.

Anyone have a recommendation on “No Neutral Required” zwave switches I could use here?

(of course I have a handful of Leviton Vizias… and all need a neutral… rats.

Thx,

THe most feature rich is the cooper

The least expensive is the Intermatic Hao6 with the least features. No associations!

Ge /Jasco has no nuetral has fade rate control, I do not think it has associations. meaning no virtual 3-way!

Act has no nuetral either. I think it’s the same as Ge/jasco

Are you referring to dimmers? Many of those require no neutral.

I am looking for single pole switches that don’t require a neutral.

Any no-relay switch will work, as long as you don’t use CFLs with it. You can search this forum for more details as this topic has been discussed many times.

any non relay two wire only.
if there is a white wire on the switch it needs to be connected.!

Not a solution as the house (which is solar-powered) is primarily CFLs.

So, the question remains: anyone have a good experience with on/off switches with No Neutral and CFLs?

There are no Light Switches on the market that can switch CFL’s without a neutral present at the switch.

Mark is correct. In order to drive the relay a neutral is required.

Thx for the confirmation. Looks like I’ll change to dimmable CFLs and go that route. A few bucks more, but worth it for control of lights.
