What firmware version are you running on your Vera?
I have Levitons - both 4- scene and 4-zone, and they are both working really well now. They didn’t work correctly in earlier versions of the firmware because the buttons wouldn’t remember whether a scene was active or not. That meant you had to single-tap for on and double-tap for off. Now the LEDs stay in sync with the state of the scene, and a single press works for both the on and the off.
You Can link the zone controller buttons with light switches. It works great. Mine was setup with A Leviton Handheld remote and I am using Vera as a secondary.

I am using the latest beta .1227. However, I don’t have the old Leviton switch. I sent it back b/c it wasn’t working. That’s the reason I’m asking- I need to know what to buy to accomplish my goal.
I am still on my factory default firmware…1.1.997
The question is what dimmers are you using? If you have GE dimmers then you might want to stick with a GE four button controller. If you have Leviton dimmers then you can use the same controller you sent back. The Leviton Zone Controller does exactly what you want…it links the button paddle switches to your remote dimmers. I guess i am assuming you have remote dimmers handling the loads! If so, by using the Leviton Remote you can link the buttons to the dimmers and have full control over the remote light switches. I was unable even with the current firmware to get the Zone controllers to work with Vera as the Master but it works fast and flawless when programed with the remote by Leviton. The remote really comes in handy anyway…plus you will never loose your Zwave setup due to firmware upgrades!
The Zone controllers work with GE dimmers but the Leviton Scene controllers won’t work with the latest GE dimmers so be careful!
