From testing and playing around with other apps (Beecon, Veramate …) I would like, if I may, suggest a couple of features that would be VERY interesting to have
Have a way to turn on/off multi switches when an Ibeacon is in specified range so we can have logic in vera to do multiple things if we are in a specific room (turn all lights off if going to bed, lower temperature, turn on alarm) without having multiple single virtual switch that takes a lot of memory.
Have a way to configure Ibeacon on a one by one basis so you can turn ON a device if it is juged to be: 1-immediate, 2-near, 3-far, 4 out of range
Have a way to configure Ibeacon on a one by one basis so you can turn OFF a device if it is juged to be: 1-immediate, 2-near, 3-far, 4 out of range
If possible, have “custom” way to “calibrate” the range to wich you would like Ibeacon to be considered in range to do an action (In a specific app I tried, when you select one of the Ibeacon in the UUID, it appears on the screen with the RSSI valu underneath and when you move toward or further the Ibeacon, the RSSI change and when you think you have reach the range where you want an action to be taken you tap the screen and it then lock the RSSI value )
Combine geolocalisation with Ibeacon to diminish battery consumption: Have a logic that would poll gelolocalisation faster if the iphone is far away from home and faster when the Iphone geolocation approch home, and only when close to home start the ibeacon scanning (if possible) and turn off geolocalisation when in reach of any Ibeacon in home
have a way to send direct URL request from the Ibeacon to Vera instead of turning on/off a device
