Suggestion for camera?

I just order my first Veraplus and would like to have recommendations for cameras. Something that not to difficult to install, good quality while stable. I would appreciate native motion sensor, 2 way audio and possibly siren. I saw some post by moderator for the vera cameras but reviews on other blogs are quite negative. How about Piper, Foscam, Arlo and Dropcam? Any specific models? Thanks

I am not sure about the audio side because I never really looked into but dollar for performance I have been very happy with HIKVision cameras. I even have one hooked to my driveway sensor virtual switch that has VeraAlerts send me a text with a photo from the camera. Between my house and my building I have 15 of them and they have all been solid.

You’re best off posting a question like this in the “camera” sub-section. But I think much of what you will hear is that the Vera platform is really not up to the task of directly connected camera’s. It’s not a DVR and has no ability to store video files. Plus camera’s really bog down a Vera big time. Most of us with more than one or two camera’s have opted to use Blue Iris software ($50) running on a spare Windows box, it does need to be a fairly powerful PC however so don’t think of using that really old machine in the closet. If this is an option for you what you will end up with is full Vera integration including motion triggers, and a fully capable DVR to boot.

I 2nd the above.
