I’ve been thinking that there are some security and safety things that are implicit in buying used equipment (or at least some of it), particularly from eBay. iVera units and locks for instance would be of particular concern, I think.
I was wondering whether a Wiki page might be helpful, to remind people to re-flash iVera units and to do factory resets on locks that they buy used. People might not initially realize that, not only could the hardware be compromised, but the person that sold it also has the new owner’s address…
Maybe I’m being paranoid (or, more likely, stating the obvious)…but I’d be interested in hearing folks’ reactions.
