Sounding a chirp or alarm

I am thinking of the MCV set up for a vacation home. When we are there I would like a opening door or window sensor to sound a brief alarm or chirp. If we were not there I would want it to sound a longer alarm.

Any thoughts as to how I could accomplish this. Fortrezz will have an alarm module but not for another couple months.

The specific settings you are asking depends on the device, not on Vera. If the device does not support it, is less likely Vera will.
