I am looking for some assistance in troubleshooting system slowness associated with the saving of data after making a change to a device.
Steps to reproduce:
Open up a device, make any change. in this case, change the name of the device.
Close the device window, and click red “Save” button.
I get the saving data screen (see attached) and it stays that way for 5 or 6 minutes before eventually being shown the blue “Continue” button.
(same thing happens when i save scenes as well).
Any thoughts on where to start in troubleshooting? I’ve taken a look at “event watcher” data and memory seems ok, but cpu % runs very high during this same period.
Any way to figure out what is specifically driving the CPU usage so i can figure out if this is root cause in delay saving?
My veralite has slowed on saves too. This change coincided with the vera has apparently modifying their registration system. I assumed my system is waiting on their system.
My unit now also doesn’t show firmware version, and is always logged out from MIOS on the account screen.
When you save data on UI5 (The Red Button On the Top) … it ALWAYS restarts Vera … this is a very heavy operation.
The requirement to do this has been greatly reduced in UI7 … but UI7 has problems.
Did anyone figure out what’s causing this? I’m in the same boat but on a Vera 3. I’ve uninstalled almost all my plugins thinking that was the issue but still the issue persists.
