Single gang light control with scene switches

Does anyone make a single gang switch that has built in on/off control of that circuit plus the ability to select a scene or separately remotely control switch located elsewhere? From what I seen you can get scene/remote control or local control but not both in one unit.

My problem is that I have a single gang switch located between a door and a window. I want to separately control the local circuit and also be able to separately control a remote circuit. The only solution I can find is to install a scene controller switch panel above the existing light switch. But that is not preferred.

Many switches have this capability. If you select a switch which also has association groups. When you operate the switch it also controls other devices using the association group.

I don’t want to control the two circuits as one. I want the local circuit to be controlled separately from the other circuit.

The two circuits are outdoor lighting circuits. Sometimes I want:

  • circuit A on, B off
  • circuit B on, A off
  • circuit A & B on

Leviton makes one but you have to make sure you buy the right one, Leviton VRCZ4-M0Z Vizia RF + 4-Button Remote Zone Controller, should have one button for local load and 4 scene buttons. Make sure to read up on these here on the forums, they are difficult to setup (not straight forward to get local load working) and can be finicky. Make sure you get the zone controller not the scene controller and get the one with local load (there is also one with out)

Perhaps you’d better sit down…

You could use a Leviton VRCS2-MRZ Vizia RF + 2-Button Scene Controller with Switches. It is a single gang with two buttons and two local load switches. Both buttons can be scene contollers and/or switch the local load.

Similarly, the Leviton VRCZ4-M0Z Vizia RF + 4-Button Controller that @shallowearth suggested has four scene control buttons and a single local load switch.

The downside is the price. They’re both very expensive, but they do just what you asked.

Or for european use there is theTKB double paddle switch. You can use paddle one for local load, paddle two for control of one group by association and double click paddle two for control of another group by association.
