Simple Wireless Zwave Multi-Button Keypad to act as a "Wall Security Panel"?

I was looking for something like the GE 45631 Z-Wave Wireless Keypad Controller that will be easy to stick to any wall and simply have buttons to turn Security Scenes (in the Vera) on/off. All I really need to do have each button be a separate device, then I can Automate triggers based on the state of those buttons.

Anyone done this or know of a device I can use?

I have an ihome.eu panic button where the buttons act as motion controllers (tripped/not tripped).

but that is only 1 button… I need separate buttons on a single panel for: Away, Home, Sleep - at minimum.

3 buttons

I see… while that might work I don’t really want a huge red button or a keyfob hanging on the wall. I want something that looks a bit more ‘polished’. And that thing is very expensive for only having 3 buttons.

this one looks a bit closer to something usable…

… and I’m in the USA so not even sure this would work or I could get it at a reasonable price.

Yeah, i bought it for 30, before they raised it

I wonder if I could use the Aeotec Minimote Z Wave. It has 8 buttons, it would look nice hanging on a wall too.

Anyone use a Minimote and know if I can simply link it to Virtual Devices in Vera?

Why not use a 4-button scene controller, and create a scene to arm/disarm or turn on/off each device? The Leviton ones even come with pre-labeled buttons.

I suspect you mean this one…

… a few reasons:

  1. Very expensive - I can get 2 Minimotes for this price
  2. I don’t need or want to replace a wired in switch
  3. I want it wireless so I can hang it on anywall, anywhere in my house.

Cool–get a couple minimotes!
