Question: I have a simple scene control, using Vera Light, UI7.
This scene doesn’t seem to trigger. Does anyone know why not?
It simply says whenever a certain light is turned on, turn on another device.
The trigger part of the scene is in the attachment.
If the device does not support Instant status … the scene will not trigger until Vera detects the device’s state on the next poll.
People have tried to lower polling intervals only to have Vera become destabilized.
Shouldn’t the device report back if it’s been turned on (or off) instantly?
It’s a standard Evolve LSM-15 on/off decora switch.
The Evolve LSM-15 does not support Instant Status. This means that, as @RichardTSchaefer indicated, when using it as a trigger there may be a delay, in some cases up to a couple of minutes, between when the light is switched and when Vera becomes aware of the change.
Switches that do support Instant Status include:
Leviton VRS15-1LZ Vizia RF + 15A Scene Capable Switch
Cooper Wiring Devices RF9501AW Aspire RF Single-Pole Wireless Light Switch, 15-Amp
and some in-wall microswitches.

What do you mean destabilized? And what is the shortest recommended setting? I’ve had nothing but troubles since the last 6 or 7 firmware updates. Losing devices that are on the backup, update fails every time and I have to default the vera to upgrade, then restore everything. It’s a pain.
