Overall, I think it will be good news. Silicon Labs is a smart and aggressive semiconductor company and they are focusing on all things IoT. Adding Z-Wave to the portfolio gives them every major IoT wireless technology (Bluetooth, ZigBee, Wi-Fi, Z-Wave) and the potential to do single chips that support all of them.
