Shipping Mystery Vera 2

Took advantage of the Vera 1- Vera 2 Upgrade on Sept 19th. I was an original Vera 1 Beta Tester.

It’s Oct 5th, and it hasn’t arrived. In the last 2 weeks, 3 emails to MCV and 1 Voicemail, none have garnered a response.

  • UPS shows “Billing Information Received” on 9/20 - typically means a label was printed, but UPS doesn’t have the package. No status updates since then.

  • Google Checkout show a myriad of status updates, including “Shipped” on 9/20.

  • On MCV Store it shows a long list of updates including:
    “09/22/2010 Google Shipped Time: 2010-09-22T15:52:12.760Z
    New State: DELIVERED”

as well as:
“09/30/2010 Google Shipped order shipped UPS: 1Z895VR00XXXXX”

Has anyone else had issues getting something shipped from MCV? Not getting a response from them is simply unacceptable. I’m a customer who has bought many items from them to date. What’s the magic password to get a response?

.//A.

Received mine today - not too long a wait since ordering.

If UPS touched it then there should be a tracking number. If you don’t have that, MCV must engage. If you do have that and didn’t get it, UPS may be able to help. I had a situation where UPS said it was delivered but I never received it. Seems it got dropped off by mistake at the wrong house. UPS did finally come thru with it but not until I had to pester them to get them to track it down.

Thanks for the reminder, I just checked my UPS tracking and it says it is sitting on my doorstep as of 10am today. Hopefully, it is actually there. BTW, I ordered mine Sept. 29th. If you have the tracking number get on UPS’s case about it. Good Luck!

Glad you got it Shady, I have one showing up soon too. I’d like to know how your transition goes from Vera 1 to 2. Im thinking I’m going to remove all my modules from Vera 1 and then start over from Scratch with Vera 2. Any insight on how you plan on making the transition would be helpful to myself and Im sure others out there…

Thanks!

I got an email from Anne reminding me of this info in the Wiki…

I might just start from scratch too but first as a test I’ll attempt the migration. I am curious how it would go for me with my mix of devices and I want to report back any pitfalls, but at the same time I’d like to start with a clean slate as I have some garbage in the UI. For some reason I kind of enjoy the inclusion process, but I dont have 75 devices yet. Good luck to all, I’ll report back probably this weekend.

Vera1 UI2 to Vera2 UI4 went pretty smooth for me.
I used the backup Vera1 restore to Vera2 method. After upgrading to the current release.

Has anyone tried using Vera1’s dongle on Vera2? I’ll start a new topic and ask.
This weekend I plan to do a test of backing up Vera2 and doing a restore to the Aeon dongle, that would make things easier for remote work.
