Is there a thread that explains all the settings and advanced settings of devices (I installed direct satellite plug in on veralite, it shows up as a device, but does nothing. I assume its up to me to direct it?)

The developer of the plugin would need to provide the documentation for settings of that plugin.

what about something general that explains what all the variables are for any plugin…or do i not mess with that stuff, keeping in mind I don’t have a clue
Most of the variables for the plugins are different from plugin to plugin. There really should be no reason to mess with the variables unless needed for configuration, etc.
