setting z-wave device variables Everspring SP814 SP103

Hi people.

I’ve learned a lot the last few days but there is one more thing that I can’t figure out. I hoping to get some help. :wink:

I use Everspring SP814 and SP103 motion detectors but I am not satisfied with the sensitivity. I’m reading about device parameters that can be changed somewhere and somehow. E.g. the SP814 has an re-trigger interval setting which I would like to increase. It is parameter number 4, its size is 1 or 2 and has a range of 5 -3600, so what do I do with this information on the vera?

I actually expected a parameter in the device settings named “retrigger interval” with a variable box behind it. But I don’t see anything like it. Do I use the ‘new variable’ and ‘new value’ boxes on the advanced tab? Can I maybe ask the device for its current setting of these variables?

I’ve read quite some manuals and have not found an explanation of this kind of stuff. How are we expected to figure this out?

UI4:
Click on the tool icon, click on ‘Device Options’ tab, click on ‘Add configuration settings’ button, enter your settings, SAVE your changes.

BTW: I have been looking for it on the wiki but I have trouble finding stuff there.

A bit of feedback on this thread: the answer by Ap15e got me on my way but unfortunately I have not been able to set the parameters on the SP814. However, it appears that I’m not the only one, I found this unanswered thread with a similar question: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9444.0.html

I think it best to continue the thread there as more people seem to have the same trouble.
