Setting restrictions on Kwikset Deadbolt using Veralite

I’m trying to figure out how to set up a PIN for a Kwikset deadbolt that will only work one day a week.

I made a test pin, and it works. Today is Tuesday. I checked the box (which I think should mean that it will not work - as I think the check box means it’s restricted on that day) and it doesn’t work. So I tried checking all the other days of the week and left Tuesday unchecked, but it still doesn’t work.

It seems like no matter what day(s) are checked, it doesn’t work as soon as I set a restriction.

I did nothing in the box for the time of day. Does that matter?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

In short:
If I check the box for a day of the week is it supposed to work on that day or on the other days?
How does the time portion work? If I only want it to work from noon to 5:00pm on Tuesdays, what do I need to do?

I use this feature on my Kwikset locks.

Put a check mark on the days of the week that you want the pin code to work (for your example, check Tuesday). For the time restriction you indicated, you’d enter valid from 12:00 until17:00.

I use this for my housecleaner - her pin code only works on the day of the week that she’s supposed to come, only between 8am and 8pm.

Thanks. This is exactly what I want to do - set it for the housekeeper - but my testing didn’t seem to work. I’ve set a test for this evening with a time window, so I’ll try it then.

Did you guys get this to work? It appears that when I set a pin with a restriction, I can’t get it to work. If I remove the restriction, it works fine.

I use to use restrictions no problem. Did something change?

I’m having the same issue with a Schlage lock.

Same issue here. I used to use the weekly restriction feature so my housekeeper could only get in from 8am to 6pm each day. Just this past weekend (November 2013) this function stopped working. Any pin with a weekly restriction would not work and I would get the notification that a pin was used out of the date range. However, pins with a daily restriction (ie a pin that works from a certain date until another date) work just fine.

Has anyone else seen an issue recently?

Not sure if it is related, but my text message notification have been significantly delayed as well (by a couple of hours) and adding/removing pins online has been very slow.
