I have a vacation home that I would like to use the Ezmotion 3 in 1 to broadcast temperature readings once every three hours. I tried to use a scene but the Ezmotion temperature is not an option. I can put out alerts for above and below certain temperatures but that seems counter intuitive. Does anyone have any ideas how to accomplish?
I have been trying the same with no results. I think it will only work if your sensor is power connected so it will stay awake all the time. With battery it seems not to work that way. Actually the EZ Motin work ok just with the motion sensor.
The EZ-Motion will wake up every <WAKEUP_INTERVAL>(Main device->wrench->Settings tab) for sending the updates to Vera. I believe the default is 1800 seconds, which is 30 minutes.
Then Vera will always have the temperature within 30 minutes.
If you want it every 3 hours, then you’d change the <WAKEUP_INTERVAL> to 10800*.
*I am not sure what the upper/lower limits for the value are… 10800 may or may not work.

I have the EZmotion and under UI5 I have found it to be a temperamental device. I’m running UI5 and 1.5.408 firmware.
There are a lot of posts around the new EZmotion 3in1 sensor, especially under UI5. Some good comments/observations and possible progress made in silos out there.
Would people support the idea of me creating one a focused post and to have all associated threads point to that new central one?
Like most things in this world i think we are better (and stronger) working together rather than apart?
