Serial bridge into Vera from Arduino or RasbPi

(Perhaps there should be a “Connect Objects” child forum named “other”)

I’m looking for a directional suggestion for a sensor acquisition device/platform using either an Arduino or RasbPi connected to Vera via the USB/Serial port.

I envision a plugin similar to Multistring (maybe even multistring) to receive and store sensor readings (KISS approach).

I’ve reviewed the sensors on MySensors.org and could not find a serial version. Has anyone gone down this road? Can you suggest a logical path to start on?

Thanks, I had seen that but thought it was more than what I need. But I am rethinking my approach.
