I’m going to a friend house for the weekend - and as I know they have a couple of Sonos devices (and I will have access to their wifi)- for a bit of fun I was wondering if it was possible to send a TTS command in a way that does not involve Vera?
I have some Lua programmes on my iPad I could use if that helps…
Only that I have some Lua apps on my IPad, if any of the TTS code used for Vera was of use.
I can see how the Google TTS URL is formed, I was curious if there was a way to push that to the player as Vera does.
Very true, I could take the .mp3 TTS files that the plugin creates and play them from my phone. However that would stop me doing anything real-time / dynamic.
Just found a way of accomplishing this with AutoVera. If you use Tasker for Android, AutoVera is a plugin for it, that’s able to control practically any device, including the Say service from Sonos Vera plugin.
