I have XX century hardwired Radio Shack 23-007 system and think about getting into XXI century to go along with Vera or maybe better.
I would like to stay independent of Central Alarm people and uber-proprietary systems, but would like it to work both Wired and WiFi/BT/NFC and Z-wave or else other devices that are around already.
But I would like to stay reasonable on the price side.
I would appreciate any advise? Thanks

Probley better off posting in the security section where all the alarm stuff is posted.
Most popular is the Honeywell and DSC alarms. There is only around 4 maybe 5 Alarms that have a plugins and work with VERA.
Alarms don’t need to be wifi, bluetooth, nfc or z-wave to work. I actually prefer they don’t as there is no need for all that in an alarm.
