Security DVR

Is there a list somewhere of security DVRs that are compatible with Vera2. It’s time to upgrade DVRs and this is an important criteria.

Thanks, Curtis

I’ve been looking and having a lot of trouble. I can give you a list of those so far that I know for sure do NOT work. They are Schwann, Linin, Lorex, Q-See, and Night Owl.

Dang, that’s the major players and none of them will work. Come on now MicasaVerde, get one of these in house and make it work.

If the DVR’s can not output each camera as a separate url, than there is nothing that MCV can do. The DVR’s need to be able to have an http request to be able to access each camera stream. Blame that on the manufactures of the DVR and not MCV.

I’ve been straggling with my DVR and the DVR plugin but I can not make it to work. In a way, I gave up. It’s the DVR/cameras fault, no doubt.

I have the DVR streaming the 3 cameras (can watch it with some software or with IE and activex) and I wouldn’t mind to have the 3 cameras at once in a single window. I have the url for that, just not the url for each camera.

There’s a DVR plugin available so there must be some working units somewhere. Anyone willing to toss us a bone on this one?

Not really, they could present the single output interface from which includes the multiple camera view. You could then select the view you want and control it. Normally I’d just use the iOS interface they have built into the DVR but you loose the ability for Vera to turn on lights in the room your viewing without going to another screen.

True, but I was referring to being able to view each camera feed.
