I am interested in this too, either a hardware or software version.

Just thinking , an HTML page linked to the Smartphone app could be good, a screen with simple keypad on it looking for a certain code to be added to arm all the sensors etc?

Hi All,

I have been interested in an keypad that is battery opperated and Zwave operated for arming and disarming my home alarm system if any one has any sugestions?

There is no such device. The only thing that comes close would be a door lock that is zwave capable.

Thanks for the update - so do you mean I could use some battery opperated door lock somewhere in the home and when locked it actives the house alarm and when unlocked it deactivess - i guess this would work - had not thought of this.

any one done anything similar? if so what did you use?

You need to a zwave compatible door lock. I use my lock to disarm my alarm when I enter my pin code. The same can be done when hitting the lock button.
